Operator and scope

Pulse is self-hosted software. The person or organization running the Pulse instance at this website is the service operator. These terms apply between that operator and each host or guest using its instance. The event host is responsible for managing participation and content within an event.

Using Pulse

You may use Pulse only for lawful, personal or organizational events and in accordance with these terms. You must not interfere with the service, bypass access controls or rate limits, impersonate another person, probe other events, automate abusive requests, introduce malicious content, or use Pulse to violate anyone's rights.

Hosts are responsible for safeguarding their account, choosing who may join, moderating submitted content, configuring connected services, and obtaining any notices or permissions required for their event.

Guest submissions

You retain ownership of photos and other content you submit. You grant the operator and event host a limited, non-exclusive license to receive, store, moderate, display, resize, and transmit that content only as needed to operate the event and its shared gallery.

Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, invasive of privacy, hateful, explicit without appropriate consent, or otherwise harmful. You must have permission to share images of other people. Hosts and operators may hide or remove submissions at their discretion.

YouTube API Services

Pulse uses YouTube API Services for video search, metadata, embedded playback, and authorized playlist management. Your use of those features is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, the Google Privacy Policy, and applicable YouTube policies.

You must not use Pulse to download YouTube audiovisual content, avoid advertisements or playback restrictions, manipulate engagement, access undocumented YouTube services, or infringe copyright. YouTube availability, search results, playback, and account authorization are controlled by Google and may change independently of Pulse.

Connected services

Hosts may connect Google/YouTube accounts and an Immich photo library. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. The host is responsible for having authority to connect them and for configuring appropriate album access, collaboration permissions, retention, and account security.

Privacy

The Pulse Privacy Notice explains what information is processed, why it is needed, how YouTube and Immich are involved, and how to request access or deletion.

Service availability

Pulse is provided on an “as available” basis. Events may be affected by network conditions, device restrictions, third-party outages, API quotas, content availability, or operator maintenance. The operator may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, compliance, maintenance, or service operation.

Suspension and termination

The operator or event host may suspend access, end an event, remove content, or terminate sessions when these terms are violated or when necessary to protect participants, connected accounts, or the service. Hosts can disconnect YouTube at any time and may also revoke Pulse from their Google Account connections.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, preservation of submissions, availability of any YouTube video, or fitness for a particular event. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. You remain responsible for your conduct, submissions, equipment, and use of connected services.

Changes

These terms may be updated to reflect feature, legal, or policy changes. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.

Contact

Questions about these terms should be directed to the event host or the person or organization operating this Pulse instance. The operator should provide direct contact details with the event invitation or on the website where Pulse is deployed.
